Photonics Spectra
Oct 1997
Santec USA Corp.Request Info

Santec Corp. has developed a miniature in-line optical filter module, the OFM-10, that is suited for erbium-doped fiber amplifiers' ASE noise reduction and other WDM transmission system applications. Users can select a fixed wavelength in the 1310- to 1550-nm range with a wavelength accuracy of ±0.1 nm. A double cascading filter also is available for narrower bandwidths. Benefits include <1.2-dB loss, 0.05-dB polarization dependence loss, >45-dB return loss without a connector and <1-nm bandwidth at 23 dB.
