General Vision's NeuroSight is an embedded vision board with built-in image recognition capabilities. The system includes a CMOS sensor with a resolution of 352 x 288 pixels for video acquisition, a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and a silicon neural network with zero instruction set computing for pattern learning and recognition. The board can be integrated into a smart camera for personal identification, fingerprint recognition, target tracking, wood grading, printed circuit board inspection and fruit sorting. It also can be interfaced to a PC's serial or parallel port for configuring the FPGA and for loading a recognition engine in the neural network.
