Scanlab AG has announced two scan heads for laser materials processing, marking and coding in the semiconductor and packaging industries, as well as for use in microvia drilling and direct structuring. HurryScan II 10 and Scanjet II have apertures of 10 and 7 mm, respectively, and incorporate the dynAxis S and dynAxis XS galvanometer scanners. The company says the scan heads have an innovative position detector system for enhanced performance and improved electronics. Marking speeds of more than 1000 characters per second are possible with these devices. Scan mirrors are available for various laser wavelengths and power densities.
