Diode-pumped solid-state lasers in 405-, 475-, 532- and 1064-nm wavelengths are available from Edmund Industrial Optics for applications in wafer inspection, micromaterials and signal processing, particle counting, interferometry, spectroscopy and optical trapping. These self-contained, TE-cooled compact lasers have lifetimes of 10,000 h. The company says they offer high mode purity and low beam divergence, making them suitable for beam focusing and long-distance positioning. All have a 6-ft coaxial cable terminated with a nine-pin D-connector and a power supply with safety features such as an emission indicator, keylock switch and remote connector.
