INO
INO says its aluminum-coated optical fibers prevent outgassing and reduce the amount of damage to fibers used in harsh environments. The fibers are manufactured with high tensile strength for use at high temperatures and in Raman amplification applications that require optical powers of more than 1 W. The aluminum coating can be applied to the company's rare-earth-doped fibers or to its specialty fibers. The typical thickness of the coating is 22 µm for cladding diameters of 125 µm. Over-the-counter chemical agents can be used to splice the fibers and remove the coating.See full product
