The C7921 3-in. flat panel sensor has 50 x 50-µm pixels and a CsI flipped scintillator plate for producing x-ray images in real time. This sensor from Hamamatsu Corp. provides 1056 x 1056-pixel images and is suitable for applications that require nondestructive analysis, including x-ray microscopy. It generates 16, 8 and 4 fps in 4 x 4, 2 x 2 and 1 x 1 binning modes, respectively. The array board features an integrated amplifier circuit, an FET switch and a two-dimensional active detector matrix with a 52.8 x 52.8-mm photodiode array that is sensitive to blue/green light.
