The XC-555 color video camera from Sony Electronics offers 768 x 494 effective pixels with a horizontal resolution of 470 TV lines and a signal-to-noise ratio of 48 dB. This interline transfer CCD camera measures 22 x 22 x 75 mm and is suitable for space-restricted applications such as machine vision, multimedia and remote monitoring. The device can be removed from its casing and the boards custom-configured. It has a compact NF-mount lens system, which can be converted into a C-mount lens. Other features include an RS-232 interface and automatic gain control.
