New Focus Inc. has launched CE-compliant Intelligent Picomotor drivers that feature distributed-control network interface technology and an easy-to-use Windows-based dynamic link library. The system includes a module that drives up to three picomotors, a network controller that acts as an interface between a computer and a DCN-compatible driver, and a multifunction joystick for manual control. Standard RJ-45 connectors and cables conjoin the DCN-compatible components. Also available are fully assembled driver kits that contain a network controller, joystick, power supply, and one-, two- and three-driver modules that control up to nine picomotors.
