Version 9.2 of Optical Research Associates' Code V optical design software offers enhanced beam propagation analysis capabilities with an input/output interface that enables data exchange with other software applications for photonic component simulation. The company says the software provides a streamlined procedure for analyzing and optimizing fiber optic coupling efficiency and a more accurate and more powerful method for determining Gaussian beam propagation parameters. A Gaussian beam visualization option plots the cross section of the beam as it propagates through the system. Other features include an expanded range of output options and summary tables for data organization.
