Kaiser Optical Systems Inc. has introduced the RamanRxn1 high-throughput analyzer for reducing the analysis time in drug discovery and early process development phases. The device is an automated well-plate system that analyzes picogram to milligram quantities for pharmaceuticals and combinational chemistry. It measures information from each well and correlates wells containing similar material by utilizing a variety of programmed tools. All wavelengths are measured simultaneously, while autofocus and autoexposure software optimize the measurements. For different user levels, the system provides spectroscopic, graphical or spreadsheet configurations.
