The FTB-5800 is a chromatic dispersion analyzer made by Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. It uses the phase-shift method to measure chromatic dispersion in networks and fiber optics links in DWDM. The device measures 9.6 x 10 x 26 cm, has a 1530- to 1625-nm wavelength range and reaches data rates up to 40 Gb/s. Suitable for various chromatic dispersion testing situations, the device is housed inside the FTB-400 universal test system and acts as a four-slot module for the system's seven-slot platform.
