Rapid image deconvolution (Ride), a feature of Soft Imaging System Corp.'s analySIS analytical software, increases the sharpness of high-resolution pictures using one of three deconvolution algorithms: "nearest neighbor," "no neighbor" or "inverse filter." Each one determines a theoretical value for an image's point-spread function from index-of-refraction, emission-wavelength and numerical-aperture information entered into a single dialogue box. Ride also supports automatic acquisition of image stacks using equidistant Z levels, and maximum- and minimum-intensity projections.
