The Odyssey Xpro vision processor board from Matrox Imaging features a Motorola G4 PowerPC embedded microprocessor that runs at 1 GHz. The combination provides more than 130 billion operations per second. This single-slot device offers more than 5 GB/s of memory bandwidth, up to 1 GB of DDR SDRAM memory and up to 2 GB/s of external I/O bandwidth. It also features the company's Oasis ASIC, which integrates a CPU bridge, a main memory controller, a pixel accelerator and a links controller. The Odyssey Xpro uses PCI-X bus technology that enables a 64-bit connection, speeds of up to 133 MHz and a peak bandwidth of up to 1 GB/s.
