The ST series piezoelectric motors from Nanomotion Inc. have been downsized by 9 mm from the previous version. The compact motors, based on ultrasonic standing waves, provide high-resolution control for linear or rotary devices. Suitable for motion in the nanometer range, they can operate at speeds of up to 250 mm/s. The ST series motors provide 1.5 N and are available in standard or vacuum-compatible configurations. Applications include semiconductor, fiber optic, electronics, biomedical/pharmaceutical, automotive and general assembly manufacturing equipment.
