Dalsa has released an area camera that can be used in electronics manufacturing, inspection, industrial metrology and welding applications. The Dalstar 1M75-SA features a 1-megapixel CMOS image sensor with a global nonrolling shutter capable of 75 fps at full resolution or 100,000 fps with windowing. The camera includes Linlog technology, which increases intrascene dynamic range up to 120 dB and enables users to program the threshold level for linear or logarithmic compression. Global shuttering reduces image blur by simultaneously exposing the entire pixel array. Programmable and diagnostic features can be accessed through a Camera Link MDR26 connector. The compact device also offers selectable 8- or 10-bit digitization.
