The A600f series area-scan cameras from Basler Vision Components have a full-frame shutter, an IEEE-1394 interface and a 29 x 44 x 65.7-mm housing. The CMOS-sensor-based cameras can operate up to 100 fps at full resolution (659 x 493) and at higher frame rates with lower resolution using the area-of-interest feature. The company says that the cameras fit into the space occupied by common analog cameras without major changes to the mechanical mounting system, and that the definable I/O ports add flexibility for industrial applications. They also can be used for automated optical inspection in electronics and semiconductor applications.
