The Model 6487 picoammeter/voltage source can apply a stimulus as high as 500 V to a device under test and measure currents as low as 20 fA. This 51/2-digit device from Keithley Instruments Inc. provides direct readout of resistance measurements up to 5 x 1016 (omega) using the source voltage, current-measurement method. It offers a data acquisition rate of 1000 readings per second into buffer memory and is suitable for applications such as ion beam current measurements, radiation monitoring, optoelectronic and semiconductor device characterization, and optical fiber alignment.
