The FOG-100 fluorescence measurement system from Del Mar Ventures uses sum frequency generation to provide temporal resolution of better than 100 fs. Designed for use with femtosecond lasers operating at pulse repetition rates of >1 kHz, the system comprises a monochromator, a selected photon-counting PMT, electronics, PC software, and optical and mechanical components installed on a breadboard. The electronic unit includes a photon counter, a step-motor driver, a computer-controlled PMT power supply and low-voltage power supplies. The FOG-100 can be used to study dynamics in semiconductors, telecommunications elements and plasma.
