Pump Laser Diode TestingNew power/wave heads from ILX Lightwave simultaneously measure power up to 10 W and wavelength within 0.2 nm for pump laser diodes. The OMH-6780B or -6790B power/wave heads with our OMM-6810B optical multimeter or LPA-9080 series parameter analyzers are the only instruments for pump laser development or production that have integrated power and wavelength measurement.

The wave heads' unique integrating sphere design provides industry-best ±0.002-dB polarization-dependent response. Designed for production or R&D test systems, these measurement heads provide the flexibility to quickly make connectorized fiber measurements with a series of connector adapters or bare fiber measurements with our BF-820 bare fiber holder.

Increased versatility was designed into the 6780B and 6790B with a fiber exit port to connect to any OSA or other measurement instrument to make spectral measurements. For systems integration, both the OMM-6810B optical multimeter and LPA-9080 series parameter analyzer are GPIB-controllable.
