Schleuniger plans to introduce a new machine at the OFC show which will revolutionize the fiber optic connectorization process. The FiberCenter 7500 will mix, degas and dispense epoxy into a connector, insert the fiber, crimp the crimp sleeve and cure the epoxy, all in one automatic machine operation. Other machines that complement the FiberCenter and the fiber optic cable assembly process will be shown in an assembly line format. This latest development augments a broad array of field-proven products for Kevlar cutting, fiber optic buffer and coating stripping, fiber ribbon stripping, jacket stripping (simplex and duplex), buffered or coated end and/or window stripping, plastic optical fiber processing, zipcord slitting, and tensile testing. Machines for feeding, marking, crimping, stacking, coiling and tying fiber optic cable are also available.
