LASER DIODE CONTROL ILX Lightwave Corp. offers the 42-W LDC-3926339 laser diode current source module for use with its LDC-3926 16-channel high-power controller. The module is designed for the development and production testing of high-power erbium-doped fiber and Raman amplifiers, as well as for higher-power pump lasers used in laser pumping and optical amplification. The device produces power output of up to 6 A at 7 V, constant current/power control, external modulation and four-wire forward-voltage measurement. The company says the LDC-3926339 provides all of its standard laser diode protection features, including adjustable compliance voltage and hardware current limits.
