StellarNet Inc. says the LT14 Little Turbo digitizer, which has been added to its EPP2000 miniature fiber optic spectrometers, improves spectral digitization speeds and dynamic range by four times. This 14-bit analog-to-digital converter operates at 2.5 megasamples per second and controls the optical detection integration frame from <1 ms to 65 s for 2048 pixels. It includes a 4000-word spectral memory for large CCD/PDA linear detector arrays and features 15 ppm/°C temperature stability and a maximum of ± LSB data counts out of 16,384.
