OPTICAL POWER METERS Five optical power meters have been added to Newport Corp.'s product line. The 1930IS fiber optic model has a large dynamic range and high sensitivity. Its built-in integrating sphere combines with front panel connections and interchangeable fiber optic connectors for a small footprint. The 2930-C dual- and 1930-C single-channel devices are suitable for benchtop testing or for integration into automated measurement systems. The dual-channel model accepts a variety of detectors and enables measurements from tens of femtowatts to 2.5 W. The single-channel one works with the company's free-space detectors to enable measurements from 190 to 1800 nm. The 2930F dual- and 1930F single-channel models feature fiber optic connectors with direct connection to the meter's amplified detector analog output for up to 100 kHz output to an oscilloscope or voltmeter.
