CleanTop II DoubleDensity Optical Tops Technical Manufacturing Corp. (TMC) offers the highest honeycomb core density and smallest cell area in the industry with the new DoubleDensity tapped-hole array on its patented CleanTop II optical tops. Because the new double-density top uses the same design as TMC's patented CleanTop II honeycomb core, there are absolutely no changes to performance specifications.

Features of the double-density optical tops include: twice the number of tapped holes as conventional 1-in. or 25-mm grids (288 holes per square foot, 3200 holes per cubic meter); twice the number of honeycomb cells (0.50 per square inch) as TMC's nearest competitor; and unchanged core density -- the highest in the industry at 13.3 lb/ft3.

Doubling the number of holes on the optical top allows more precise location of positioning equipment and reduces the need for adapter plates used for less dense hole patterns. The DoubleDensity pattern is available with all TMC CleanTop II models.
