The new compact two-port tunable filter from DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. is used for tuning center wavelength in terminal equipment and custom test systems. Features include a 10-nm tuning range with 0.5-dB bandwidths as narrow as 0.8 nm, tuning resolution of <0.1 nm, typical polarization dependence loss of 0.05 dB and insertion loss of 1.0 dB. Designed for panel mounting, the filter measures only 46 3 12 3 10 mm.
