LIQUID CRYSTAL POLARIMETER Meadowlark Optics' LCPM-3000 liquid crystal polarimeter is suitable for measuring optical retardance and activity and for materials characterization, optics alignment, ellipsometry and general research. It can be used as a free-space benchtop polarimeter or with a fiber optic input. The computer-controlled system includes PolarView 3000 software, which offers various tabular and graphical polarization-state display modes. The LCPM-3000 measures state of polarization and displays it as a Poincaré sphere, a polarization ellipse or a running chart. It contains no waveplates, motors or other moving parts, and is available in two models for calibrated polarization measurement from 450 to 1100 nm and 900 to 1700 nm.
