Halcyonics GmbH has announced the Mod-1 plus systems for active antivibration isolation in atomic force microscopes and other applications. The devices integrate an automatic load adjustment and a USB interface. They offer 0.6- to 100.0-Hz active isolation against six degrees of freedom and >100.0-Hz passive isolation. The systems include eight electrodynamic transducers and eight piezoelectric accelerometers for sensing horizontal and vertical vibrations. They isolate at frequencies down to 2 Hz with no low-frequency resonance and can handle a 90-kg maximum load.
