FIBER OPTIC PROBE The RPB fiber optic Raman probe is available from InPhotonics Inc. in 785-, 633- and 532-nm wavelengths and can be directly coupled to most spectrographic designs. The fully filtered probe has hard oxide-coated filters and AR-coated lenses and features a manual safety shutter to protect the user from laser light. High signal collection and optical filtering of 106 produce efficient attenuation of the Rayleigh line -- achieved in a 4.2 x 1.5 x 0.5-in. anodized aluminum probe head -- for background-free spectra. It can be used with the compact sample holder for measurement of liquids and solids. Custom configurations for high-volume applications are available.
