The LU0546F010 green fiber laser module has been released by Lumics GmbH. The 546-nm module consists of a GaAs-based quantum well laser diode and a cooled 14-pin butterfly package with <2 m of single-mode fiber, which is doped with rare-earth ions. With an output up to 10 mW and a beam quality of M2 <1.05, the laser can be used as an alternative to argon-ion lasers for photofinishing, displays and analytical instruments.
