The BeamStar FX 66 from Ophir Optronics Inc. is a self-contained laser beam profiler that connects to a laptop or a desktop PC via a FireWire interface. Designed to provide high-performance measurements of CW and pulsed lasers, this 1280 x 1024-pixel device has an aperture of 9.7 x 7.68 nm and a compact 3.5 x 2.9 x 1.18-in. head. Its dynamic measurement range is 53 dB. It comes with software with manual or automatic gain and shutter control adjustments and laser beam focal point, vertical and horizontal spectral profiles, beam statistics and all controls are displayed on the PC screen.
