Kopin Corp. has developed microdisplays that are about half the size of their predecessors. The CyberDisplay 113K and CyberDisplay 300M are 0.16-in.-diagonal devices produced for use in small mobile consumer electronic products and systems. The 113K is a color filter active-matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) with 521 X 218-pixel active resolution. It is suitable for digital camera viewfinders, games, head-mounted devices and mobile devices. The 300M is a monochrome AMLCD with resolution of 300 X 225 pixels for use in camcorders. It can also be used in thermal weapon sights and IR products for police and firefighters.
