DenseLight Semiconductors Pte Ltd. has extended its line of superluminescent LEDs. At 1550 nm, the DL-CS5203A produces 20 mW and the DL-CS5107A, >10 mW with a bandwidth of 60 nm. The instruments are suitable for use in material investigations; optical coherence tomography for ophthalmology; fiber optic grating sensors for strain, temperature, displacement and chemical detection; acoustic emissions; dermatology; velocity and displacement measurement; fiber optic gyroscopes for navigation, stabilization and orientation in military and commercial markets; and free-space optics and data links.
