Vision Components GmbH has increased the processing speed of its Pictor intelligent camera tenfold, to 1200 million instructions per second, enabling parallel image processing and simultaneous acquisition, processing and display of information. Operating on a 24-V power supply, the camera can process up to 54 full fps with resolutions from 640 X 480 to 1280 X 1024 pixels. The VCWin software package supports 2-D measurement, object and rotary angle recognition, completeness and color control, color analysis, character recognition and reading data-matrix code. Applications include high-speed stamping and label inspection.
