Volpi Manufacturing USA The Poly Optical Fiber Device from Volpi Manufacturing USA is a camera lens that uses flexible coherent fiber optic lightguides to enable a machine vision camera to simultaneously capture up to eight views of an object or multiple objects. The 2-mm-diameter fiber legs are up to 6 m in length, offer 10,000- or 30,000-pixel resolution and may be used to transmit light for illuminating the objects to be imaged. The company says that the fiber lens, which is smaller than a typical camera cable and is suitable for use with high-resolution smart cameras, is designed to increase inspection speeds and cut the costs associated with multiple cameras.
