Model 550, a rotating-mirror CCD camera released by Cordin Scientific Imaging, is an option for those who require high image quality, a high number of frames and fast framing rates simultaneously. With the ability to capture digital images within seconds, the camera has a resolution of 1000 X 1000 pixels at full 10-bit dynamic range and captures 4 million fps at full resolution. It does not use image intensifiers and is available with 16, 24, 32, 48 or 62 frames, in color, black-and-white, or both. The camera can trigger and be triggered by an event, can be retriggered immediately, and can accept triggers before and after an event. It features a gas turbine and optional electric drive configuration.
