A compact, self-contained, handheld instrument, the Find-R-Scope thermal viewer/camera from FJW Optical Systems Inc. is suitable for applications such as surveillance, threat detection, search and rescue, fire fighting, building inspection, industrial process control and military. With sensitivity from 7 to 14 µm, the device supplies an NTSC video out signal via a BNC connector, enabling viewing, video recording and computer analysis. The camera incorporates a 320 X 240-pixel solid-state viewfinder and is operated on three C-cell batteries. An optional RS-232/-485 serial interface can be used to optimize viewer functions.
