Advanced Optical Technology Ltd. (AOT) has extended its line of short-pulse, diode-pumped, electro-optically Q-switched solid-state lasers with the AOT-YAG-20Q, a 20-kHz Nd:YAG laser with high pulse energy. The device produces a TEM00 beam of up to 600 mW at 1064 nm and, at 2.5 kHz, pulses of ~1.5-ns duration. Applications include high-precision, high-speed materials microprocessing, remote sensing and detection, and scientific research. The laser delivers up to 35 µJ per pulse at 532 nm, 20 µJ per pulse at 355 nm and 10 µJ per pulse at 266 nm. Optional fiber optic beam delivery via UV-grade all-silica fiber with 80% power transmission is available.
