Laser Module The CPM-20 released by Alfalight Inc. is a 20-W combined power module that integrates seven high-power emitters into a single compact package to produce a high-brightness multimode output beam. It operates from a standard low-current power supply and is suitable for industrial, marking, soldering, defense, telecommunications, pumping of fiber and solid-state lasers, and medical laser applications. Requiring 5 A at 15 V, the laser system produces >20 W of fiber-coupled 915-nm radiation. The output fiber has a 125-µm core and a 0.45 NA. The company says that the module mounts easily to a heat sink or chassis and exhibits good beam uniformity.
