Dalsa Corp. has released a 30-MHz version of its Piranha2 line-scan cameras that it says is the most cost-effective camera in the line. The lightweight, compact Camera Link camera provides 8- or 10-bit selectable output at 30-MHz per tap to deliver 60-MHz throughput. Suitable for general machine vision and web inspection applications, it is available in 1024-, 2048- and 4096-pixel resolution. The camera has a single power supply, embedded flat-field correction and programmable gain and offset.
