Gamma Scientific has unveiled an ultrasensitive radiometer for measuring the night-vision radiance of displays and instrument panels used with night-vision goggles. The NVG 2020 detects 0.3 fW of optical power and features a temperature-stabilized detector that maintains 0.01% of linearity over a dynamic range of more than 1 million to one. Total dynamic range spans eight decades. The radiometer is used in military applications.
