Servo-Amplifier Interface PI (Physik Instrumente) LP has announced a plug-and-play servo-amplifier motion interface that is compatible with piezo motors and National Instruments third-party controls, such as the controllers for use in micro- and nanopositioning, micromanipulation, and semiconductor and data-storage test equipment applications. The C-809.40 provides four axes of amplification, conditioning and analog/PWM conversion to drive open- and closed-loop DC servomotor stages. Encoder signals and power and limit/reference switch information are provided via front-panel connectors.
