Optical Engines The Qubes line of optical components has been introduced by TriQuint Optoelectronics to power multi-source-agreement optical module form factors at 2.5 and 10 Gb/s, including 300-pin transponders, XFP, SFF, SFP and GBIC. The UQube 3100 10-Gb/s engines are suitable for 20-km transmission at 1.3 µm. The UQube 3250 and 5250 are long-reach, 2.5-Gb/s products at 1.3 and 1.5 µm, respectively. The cooled TQube 1000 provides 10-Gb/s transmission at up to 80 km for DWDM and SONET applications. The devices are based on proprietary planar packaging technology, which allows integration of internal drivers and differential data inputs.
