The Uniblitz CS25 shutter from Vincent Associates provides accurate, repeatable exposures for medical imaging, CCD and video cameras, and low-level laser switching applications. It has a 25-mm aperture that fits into a 2.37-in.-diameter housing, a patented damping system and a multiblade design. A miniaturized electromagnetic actuator applies an electronic pulse that varies in intensity throughout the exposure sequence and then is removed to close the shutter. The shutter is compatible with the company's drive equipment, which converts line voltages as required. For increased flexibility, an electronic synchronization system is offered as an option. The housed or unhoused OEM version is electronically programmed to fire specific exposures at precise time intervals.
