Morgan Technical Ceramics, ElectroCeramics
High-voltage laser discharge ceramic capacitors are available from Morgan Electro Ceramics Ltd. for use in gas lasers, high-energy pulsed-power supplies, DC and x-ray power supplies, and lightning arrestors. The devices are made of a strontiumtitanite-based dielectric material that produces a negligible piezoelectric/electrostrictive effect, enabling use in high-peak-current, high-shot-life applications. The company says that the capacitors offer low dielectric loss and self-heating, high breakdown strength and permittivity, and low capacitance, voltage and temperature coefficients.
