Halyconics GmbH has unveiled the Vario 45 compact active vibration isolation system. It features two isolation elements and the VarioControl, an external controller that ensures automatic precision load adjustment of the elements. Once the system is connected to a power supply, setup is done via an easy-to-navigate menu. There are two digital displays, one for menu navigation and one to obtain additional information on vibration levels. Vibration signals of sensors and actuators can be chosen and displayed as graphical bars that summarize information on current status. Standard equipment includes a USB interface and evaluation software. Vibration isolation begins at 1 Hz and reaches at least 40 dB beyond 10 Hz. The systems show no low-frequency resonance, ensuring performance at frequencies as low as 2 to 3 Hz. Applications include optical tops and UHV systems.
