PULSED LIGHT SOURCES Light sources based on laser diodes, LEDs and flashlamps are manufactured by Jobin Yvon IBH to provide good temporal and intensity stability, reproducible pulse shapes and multiple wavelengths. NanoLEDs produce pulse durations from 50 ps to 2 ns, between 370 and 660 nm, and they are suitable for fluorescence lifetime and biomedical applications. They include a controller module, a variety of interchangeable sources, precision collection optics and a 35-mm-diameter bayonet mounting flange for integration into any optical system. SpectraLEDs produce optical pulses from 100 ns, making them suitable for phosphorescence measurements. They require only 5 V and TTL-compatible input trigger pulses.
