Previously available only to OEM customers, optical thin-film triple-notch filters for multilaser line blocking applications are being offered by Semrock Inc. as a catalog item. The filters provide simultaneous attenuation of >4 optical density of the 488-, 532- and 631- to 640-nm wavelengths and deliver >90% average transmission outside the notches. They effectively block laser lines that correspond to argon-ion, doubled Nd:YAG, HeNe and a variety of red diode lasers, while passing the maximum amount of signal light. Applications include confocal and multiphoton microscopy, and fluorescence scanners.
