Headwall Photonics has introduced the Summit 6400 line of configurable single-beam OEM spectrometers based on holographic diffraction-grating technology. The company says that the spectral engines, featuring a 512-element silicon photodiode array detector and low-noise, 16-bit electronics, offer low stray light and a wide dynamic range and integrate easily into existing systems. Resolution is from ~1 to ~4 nm, depending upon the spectral range. Scan rate is four spectra per second, aperture is f/2.5, and focal length is ~100 mm. Applications include industrial process monitoring, medical diagnostics, laboratory research and high-throughput screening, as well as nondestructive measurement tasks such as colorimetry, moisture determination, layer thickness and chemical concentration.
