Gigahertz Optik Inc. has released its UM line of custom integrating spheres that allow the end user to configure a setup for a specific light, reflection, transmission or absorbance measurement application, or as a uniform light source. The UMBB-500 is a 500-mm-diameter model that has a hinged frame that permits the sphere to be opened for center installation and for removal of test samples or lamps. Also available are accessories such as extra measurement ports, frames and reducers for externally mounted spot light measurement, auxiliary lamps for sphere factor correction, test sample and lamp holders, detector mounts, fiber connector adapters for spectrometers, port plugs, baffles and light traps.
