UV-NIR SPECTROMETER The HR4000CG-UV-NIR announced by Ocean Optics Inc. is a 0.5-nm resolution FWHM miniature fiber optic spectrometer that performs multiwavelength analysis from 200 to 1100 nm. It has a 3648-element CCD array detector and produces a signal-to-noise ratio of 2500:1 and 10-µs minimum integration time. The device connects to PCs, PLCs and other embedded controllers through a USB-2.0 (requiring no external power supply) or RS-232 (requiring a 5-VDC supply) interface. Software controls the spectrometer's operating parameters via an onboard microcontroller. Applications include irradiance, emission, absorbance/transmission and reflectance measurements.
